✗ 10 Tips To Aid In Weight Loss
I hope you are having a fantastic day today. I thought today would be a good day to chat about tips to help you lose weight.
Today when I weighed myself I am 41 pounds down. Personally I am not to my goal yet but, I am much closer.
Here are some suggestions I would like to share with you that I have been following to help me lose some weight. I did not come up with this routine on my own. I had a wonderful nutritionist and primary care physician that helped me out.
My nutritionist said something that has stuck with me for a while. She said, “weight loss is 90% of what you eat and 10% exercise for the average person.”
That means what we are putting in our mouths really affects us. Because I am not an athlete it means that I need to watch what I am eating if I would like to get to a healthy weight and stay there.
I try to keep my carbs low (40%) Proteins (40%), and Fats (20%). I like to track my food on MyFitnessPal.
- Drink a lot of water! Roughly about ½ your body weight in water.
- Try to finish drinking my water by 8:00 pm if I plan to go to sleep by 10:00 pm
- Break up your food throughout the day so that you do not get too hungry.
- Move for a minimum of 30 min. at least five days a week.
- Try to “beef up” your protein and veggie consumption.
- Track your food (I feel the groans happening but trust me it helps)
- Have nighttime routine AKA Sleep hygiene.
- Have a workout plan and meal plan for the week.
- I try to not eat after 8:00 pm
- Do not be so hard on yourself.
Changing your body takes time friend, so be patient with yourself. I used to get discouraged when I would eat right and work out for a week. Now I realize that it took time to create the problem, so it will take time to fix the problem.
Getting to know how your body digests your food will help you out a lot. I have a slow metabolism so I like to wait to eat breakfast later. I also am vitamin D deficient so I take a vitamin D & K supplement.
The more you know about your body the easier it will be to figure out how to work with it. Below is an example of how my day looks like with the tips I gave you.
Day Break Down Example:
- Wake up & Take vitamins
- Drink 16 oz. of water right when you wake up
- Drink 16 oz. of coffee and 2 tbsp. of creamer.
- Eat breakfast
- Drink more water /33oz.
- Have a snack
- Drink more water /33 oz.
- Have lunch
- Drink more water/ 33 oz.
- Snack time!

The best advice I can pass along to you is that getting healthy is a lifestyle change, not a diet. Today diets are shoved in our faces all the time. Diets are just money makers they are not meant to work for a long time. If I can suggest anything to you it would be to make a lifestyle change do not just try the next diet you see.
After trying many diets and failing at them, I realized that I needed to make a life change. It has been a long road but I feel like I have found the trick that works for my body. If my suggestion doesn’t work for you don’t worry you will find what works best for you! The important thing is to keep trying!
